Element: Lightning Type: Standard Subtype: Projectile
Release a slow moving orb of electricity which is surrounded by a circle that grows in size. Pressing the attack button again while the orb is out will immediately detonate the orb, dealing 50 damage and applying lv 4 shock (10 ticks of 2 damage) to all foes within its radius. If the orb collides with an enemy or a wall it will automatically detonate, which deals 50 damage and applies lv 1 shock (5 ticks of 2 damge).
If enhanced, the maximum radius of the orb is doubled, massively increasing its coverage area and the orb now deals 60 damage when detonated.
Bolt Claymore is great for initiating a fight since manually detonating shocks enemies, opening them up for attack. You can also move with the orb as it approaches enemies to ensure you are at close range when the the orb is detonated.
Since the orb's radius increases over time, try to put distance between you and the enemies to allow it to reach maximum radius before detonation.
The large area covered by Bolt Claymore makes it excellent at dealing with groups of enemies.
If need be, Bolt Claymore can be used at point blank range to quickly deal high damage to enemies around you.
- Arcana that move enemies away from you (e.g. Ice Spear, Storm Draft, Spiraling Typhoon, Arcane Intervention) can be used to create distance, giving Blot Claymore enough time to reach maximum radius.
- Gloves of Gambit increases the damage dealt.
- Reinforced Bracers allows the orb to destroy all enemy projectiles.
- Indra's Copper Pipe increases the duration and damage of the shock.
