|Summon a beam of chaos energy!|
On cast, the player is knocked back slightly, then free movement is granted before the beam is fired. The beam deals 5 instances of 5 damage on all enemies and then 25 damage with a knockback. Player cannot be knocked out of bounds with the knockback of the cast.
Charged Signature: Fires 7 beams in total, one large one from the center and 3 smaller ones on each side. The beams may be slightly crooked, but are close to parallel.
This spell has two charges by default, making it great in a combo against a boss or a group of enemies. Casting this spell as a signature will consume all charges, regardless of how many were remaining.
The charged signature version of this spell can be cast repeatedly for a short time by spamming the button to activate it. (this seems to have been fixed and does not work in the current patch)
This spell also has the added benefit of innately destroying projectiles allowing it to be used defensively.
- Regenerative Inkwell will disable the signature cast, effectively refreshing the spell.
- Bladed Buckler allows Distortion Beam to gain signature charge when used to destroy projectiles
