Firstborn's Gauntlet is a relic in Wizard of Legend.
Description[]
Immediately pressing forward into an attack will guard the attack and heal at low health. Right half of the Ancestral Gauntlets.
Strategies[]
- Pressing forward into an attack does not mean during one of the player's attacks. Rather, an enemy's attack must be purposefully walked into in order to initiate the guard. This Relic can be difficult to time correctly as the enemy's attack must be walked into at the exact moment it reaches its last attack frame, before the recovery frames begin.
- When attempting to guard attacks using keyboard and mouse, it is best to only attempt guarding attacks that are coming from one of the 4 'cardinal' directions/axes (i.e. up, down, left, or right). This is because these 4 directional inputs are the easiest to perform using only one input on a 4-axis device (i.e., wasd), however, diagonal guards are also possible at the cost of being more difficult to perform and requiring two—near simultaneous—inputs. However, when using a controller its joystick offers anywhere from an 8-directional to a 16-directional input, which greatly increases the directions in which a single-input guard can be performed and results in guards being able to be performed from any direction.
Item combos[]
- Combines with the Lastborn's Gauntlet to make the Ancestral Gauntlets.
