Basic Gameplay[ | ]

The basic gameplay in Wizard of Legend is based around completing dungeons to gain more relics and arcana in order to the overcome the Chaos Trials and defeat the members of the Magic Council. For each stage of the dungeon the player completes, they will be rewarded with gold and chaos gems.

  • Arcana or "spells" are how you attack and protect yourself from enemies.
  • Relics are items found throughout the trials or bought from Artisan Andres. Relics give you benefits of health, damage, speed or other effects. There are also cursed relics, given freely by Nox the Unfortunate, which are much more powerful but come with drawbacks.
  • Gold and Chaos Gems are both forms of currency. Gold can only be obtained and used while in the Trials, while Chaos Gems are collected in the Trials and taken out to be used in the Hub to permanently purchase Relics and Arcana.

Tips and tricks[ | ]

  • Start slow: It is nearly impossible to beat the chaos trials on your first try. Instead focus on learning the system and collecting new Arcana.
  • Collect arcana: Expanding your Arcana collection allows for you to find your perfect loadout. This is especially critical in the early stages of the game.
  • 100% dungeons: Chaos gems are critical to success in Wizard of Legend, allowing you to purchase items in the market. Dungeons are filled with chests and encounters that offer many gems, so when looking to gain more gems, 100% dungeons.
  • Experiment: Try out new builds often and do not be afraid to break out of your comfort zone. The test dummies are a great way to compare builds by damage and ease of use.
  • Prioritize: While exploring the different floors, maintaining a logical priority is important. For example; when you encounter the mini-boss room on a floor, do a quick assessment of if exploring the rest of the dungeon before fighting them will gain you anything.
  • Multiplayer: Playing the 2-player mode changes the way the game plays quite a bit. There are many tips and tricks that could be added about improving cooperative gameplay, but the most important tips are as follows: the person with the lowest health should be the one to break most of the environmental items, the same is even more true for any chests that you may find, if you are close to even health you can break the chests with ranged Arcana then divvy out health orbs accordingly (remember, the health orbs like to attract towards people who get close), and try out builds to compliment one another (if one person likes to get up close, maybe try not to fill the screen with AOE Arcana so that they can still see where they are hitting).
