Description[]
Element: Earth Type: Standard/Signature Subtype: None
Summon a cactus familiar that prances along in a straight line back and forth while rapidly releasing needles that deal 3 damage per hit.
If enhanced, 2 cactus familiars are summoned, dealing increased damage in a larger area.
Charged Signature: Summons 4 pairs of cactus familiars that prances along in diagonal lines back and forth from the player twice before vanishing.
Strategies[]
This arcana, while it has relatively low damage, is good for controlling foes in a straight line. This arcana is excellent for interrupting enemy attacks to open them up for follow-up attacks.
The charged Signature version is similar in that it will do rather low damage for a Signature, although it is capable of controlling an entire room of foes. To maximize damage against mini-bosses or Council members, lure them in a corner as the cactus familiars will remain stationary in corners.
This arcana is also great for mapping out areas as the familiars are not harmed from explosive barrels and can break through obstacles.
Spell combos[]
Obsidian Splitter becomes significantly safer to fully charge due to this arcana's control, as does any other charge basic.- Earthquake Axe has a long start-up that is mitigated by this arcana's control.
- Arcana that immobilize opponents such as Embracing Vines, Water Prison or Toxic Bolas allows this spell to constantly barrage opponents.
