Status effects are conditions that are applied to either you or your enemies, typically as extra effects from Arcana. Status effects are not affected by any damage modifiers and cannot stack on the same target. Higher levels of a status effect overwrite lower levels.
List of status effects[ | ]
There are 7 status effects.
Burn[ | ]
Applying a burn status to a target will quickly deal damage over time. This effect does not cause the target to be hit-stunned. Higher levels deal more damage in a shorter amount of time.
- Level 1: 8 ticks at 2 damage every 2 seconds: 16 total damage.
- Level 2: 7 ticks at 4 damage every 1.75 seconds: 28 total damage.
- Level 3: 6 ticks at 6 damage every 1.5 seconds: 36 total damage.
- Level 4: 6 ticks at 7 damage every 1.5 seconds: 42 total damage.
- Level 5: 6 ticks at 8 damage every 1.5 seconds: 48 total damage.
Ex: Phoenix Talon, Blazing Lariat, and Igniting Sprite Vesa
Poison[ | ]
Applying a poison status to a target will slowly deal damage over time. This effect will cause hit stun and cause the target to face a random direction. All poison status effects last for 7.5 seconds and deals 5 damage per tick. Higher levels affect the number of ticks and the time between each tick.
- Level 1: 5 ticks: 25 total damage.
- Level 2: 6 ticks: 30 total damage.
- Level 3: 7 ticks: 35 total damage.
- Level 4: 8 ticks: 40 total damage.
- Level 5: 10 ticks: 50 total damage.
Ex: Noxious Dappercap, Toxic Trap, and Plaguing Sprite Dria
Shock[ | ]
Applying shock status to a target will quickly deal damage over time. This effect causes the target to be hit stunned for each hit. All shock status effects deals 2 damage per tick. Higher levels increase the duration of the shock status.
- Level 1: Hits 5 times and lasts for 0.625 seconds: 10 total damage.
- Level 2: Hits 6 times and lasts for 0.75 seconds: 12 total damage.
- Level 3: Hits 8 times and lasts for 1 seconds: 16 total damage.
- Level 4: Hits 10 times and lasts for 1.25 seconds: 20 total damage.
- Level 5: Hits 12 times and lasts for 1.5 seconds: 24 total damage.
Ex: Tesla Coil, Star Bolt, and Sparking Sprite Etra
Slow[ | ]
Applying slow status to a target will lower their movement speed. Higher levels increase the duration of the slow effect while further reducing movement speed.
- Level 1: Lowers movement speed by 37.5% and lasts for 1.5 seconds.
- Level 2: Lowers movement speed by 50% and lasts for 1.75 seconds.
- Level 3: Lowers movement speed by 62.5% and lasts for 2 seconds.
- Level 4: Lowers movement speed by 68.75% and lasts for 2.25 seconds.
- Level 5: Lowers movement speed by 75% and lasts for 2.5 seconds.
Ex: Nerite Shell, Airborne Slam, and Blasting Sprite Aura
Freeze[ | ]
Applying freeze status to a target will render them unable to move or attack for a short duration. If hit by an attack that applies hit stun, this status will be removed.
Ex: Permafrost Cube, Frost Fan, and Freezing Sprite Naya
Charm[ | ]
Applying charm status to a target will cause it to fight for you, targeting enemies as an effective temporary agent. Some enemies are immune to this status effect. A swirl of hearts and a tiny cloud will appear over a charmed opponent.
Ex: Mentis Imperium and Charming Teddy Bear
Stun[ | ]
Applying stun status to a target will render them unable to move or attack for a short duration. The "seeing stars" emote will play over the targets head and will count down until the status is removed. Additional hits to the target will add back stars up to the original 6 until after a certain time, when the status is automatically removed. mechanics
Entanglement[ | ]
Applying entanglement status to a target will lock them in place for a short duration. This status effect doesn't effect ranged attacks.
